Thread Details

Mod Edit: This will become the new Northern California Grocery Stores Thread.

Thank you to missusg and mcube for starting up threads for the individual stores for Northern California.

Due to how the timestamp works - it is with apologies to mcube (who started the Lucky thread) that your post is now #141 -- When a thread is merged the posts go in timestamp order.

Please note that there is a 30 day rule for reps -- so any post greater than 30 days old cannot be repped.

This message to remain for the next 24 hours so that our NoCal users can get used to this. Smilie

official place to post Norcal store deals
Savemart/Lucky/Raley's/Bel Air/Nob Hill and other local chains welcome

We're not too rigid, any deals of NORCAL interest welcome

Been recommended that I tell people to play nice, just post deals and no fighting

SW:
Jeni: I used freebie Nature Valley simple bars, but not Fiber One cheesecake. The .50/1 eQ is loaded, which will result in overage

Raleys: new Friendzy is granola-heavy. 50% off deals, no freebie
I have my "try it" Qs in the car but i think the $2 off meat exp. today

Lucky ad is pretty sad

Sprouts has .99 blueberries
3/$1 cantaloupes ends today

I couldn't find the free Gatorade energy chews at Raleys.
They were in the aisle next to the Gatorade and Gatorade Protein Shakes (which were freebies also recently)

$2 off Boneless, Skinless, Raley's chicken breasts EQ from last week did NOT come off. Grrr... Also got a free Q for a pizza on one card (came off no problem) and a loaf of fresh baked NH "artisanal" bread. Previously, I had only been able to get those Qs to work on the Puglise, which they did not have. Picked up a black pepper/cheddar Puglise and it did not work, but CS took it off of my bill after I showed the printout. I love the good EQs, but am SO frustrated when stuff doesn't work and that EQ NEVER WORKS and they've done the same one multiple times over the past year or two. Guess, I'll email CS. Again.

^Last time an offer didn't come off I contacted cs through live chat and got a credit for next purchase that day

Got my raleys rewards. First time I've gotten 2 free items. Got a 2l raleys cola and a box of special k for free. They other Q's were high value too. Probably the first time I will use most of my rewards.

I also got my Raley's rewards yesterday: 2 free candy bars and a couple of cents off coupons. I haven't been shopping at Raley's much lately, so I'm glad I got something.

Does anyone know of a decent deal on eggs? The price has been consistently high the past few weeks Frown I have even been using flax seed meal as an egg substitute, but it's not suitable for many purposes.

grocery outlet looked to have good prices. think there was an organic case (Dontknow there were a lot of eggs) for $9 or so. also, trader joe's seems to have good prices

fwiw - the only time I "need" eggs is when I want to eat eggs. otherwise, there are awesome subs or new ways to eat out there without eggs. pm if you any questions Smilie

I agree that I probably don't really "need" eggs, but many things are just not the same without eggs: fried rice & pad thai come to mind. Sometimes baked goods come out weird with the flax seed meal. If the egg substitutes are reasonably priced, I'd try them.

make @least one vegan cake/dessert a week, rarely using flax - never had issues YET if I try for vegan glutenfree - that's still a lil' tricky for me

Thanks for the links. I personally don't think bananas, apple sauce, or peanut butter would make good substitutes, but I might try the silken tofu.

you can always send your testers to me Wink

apologies to thread for slight derail - yet fwiw - I find using 2-3 types of seasonal fruit/seed/nuts/tofu ensures there's not flavor dominance AND can eliminate refined sugar usage - just moist delicious yumminess Licklips
