Older model replaced by the BV1901TS [amazon.com] which is just $12 more.
imho, $90+ for an 8-cup (Chinese made) ADC brewer is too much to pay.

We have the newer model and the carafe pours all the coffee, only a few drops stay in it. Not sure about this model. The hanging basket is also nice.

Worth every penny imo. Yeah it's made in China, so is a $1000 iPhone.

I have had mine for a couple of years. Best pot I have ever had that you don't smoke.

It is built like a tank. Fast heating/brewing and hot. I preheat the pot by brewing a couple cups of water while I grind the beans. Dump that water in my mug then make the coffee. As good as any pour over I have ever used.

People complain that you can't get all of the coffee out of the pot. I found the secret to that too, just tip the pot farther.

I'm not seeing any deal here.

The regular price is always $93.99 at Amazon...so this was posted because of a $2 discount?

Yes anything at Target can be purchased through Google Express with a code if you have never used the app before.

Bonavita was news several years ago when they were almost unique in being cheap and brewing to SCA standards. But there are lots of cheap brewers that do this now. Here's one for $60. [morningsave.com] (imported by the initial Bonavita distributor)

Sorry for being so grouchy, I need my coffee.

While I don't disagree with you about the SCA certified list getting much longer over the last few years, the one you pointed out isn't on that list.

You are right, but it meets the SCA's standards. According to your link, (2nd paragraph) since 2014 the SCA and ECBC have the same standards.

The Motif is a rebranded Melitta Aroma Signature Therm [melitta.dk] which, is on the ECBC list. [kaffe.no]

I had the previous version of this. It lasted about 2 years and the temp sensors blew. It's it's also a very inconvenient design. I'm no coffee super taster but I couldn't taste the difference between this and my easy to use 30 dollar Hamilton Beech.

Having owned a Motif and Bonavita in the past, I can vouch for Motif and that it's every bit as good as the Bonavita, and may actually be better in some ways.
