For anyone that isn't currently a T-Mobile subscriber, the test drive service is back and works with the new band 71.

You'll receive a hotspot device to use for 30 days (or up to 30GB of data whichever is first). No strings attached!

If you're having issues with an IMEI error try using an alternate browser.

If you get the "Existing Customer" notice during any step, try making these changes.
- If email is flagged as an Existing Customer, try a different email. If you don't have another email, make a new one on gmail or whatever.
- If address is flagged as an Existing Customer, append your address by adding something that will still get it delivered in your case, apartment #, Suite #, etc. or try a different address, work, neighbor, etc
- If phone number is flagged as an Existing Customer, try a different one. Also, you can get a new number from Google Voice for free.

From the website: "After 30-days or 30GB of data, whichever comes first, you can return the device to any T-Mobile store or pass it on to a friend."

I got this when it first hit SD and activated it last week. I needed data on my laptop for a drive back home from the DC area. Someone else was driving, I was in the backseat and placed the hotspot on the shelf under the back windshield for a clear signal. Had data fine for a while, but as I got a little further away on Rte 66, approaching the area south of Dulles airport, the internet connection became slow to unusable for miles. Fortunately I had a phone with Red Pocket ATT, and that hotspot had no issues for the next 2 hours until I got home. I also had a Red Pocket Verizon sim which would have most likely allowed me to work all the way home as well.

I tried two of my fi data only sims and neither work, even tried to set apn as h2g2. Any ideas or places to turn, where in Reddit?

I tried turning on a second hot spot. But it comes up with a ConnectMe log in and asks me to click a get started button. But it doesn't work. I can't get past this point.

Happened to me as well. Contacted T-Mobile and the rep basically said he can't do anything. My devices was arrived 3 months ago but I have no need for it so I wait until I do, and this happen
