Looks like no USB charging?
Looks like the USB Type-C port is USB 3.1 Gen 1 (5Gbps), but does support DisplayPort and USB Power Delivery, so you should be able to use a USB C dock with it.

Metal body.
Ram upgradable from the looks of it for 13 inch as well.
Isn't this a better deal than the lenovo flip 14 on rakuten few weeks back?

I verified with Dell CS that the 13" RAM is NOT upgradable, unfortunately.

Is this a good deal or better to wait for Thanksgiving
If you can afford to wait, then it might be better to wait.

1. Technology always gets better and cheaper i.e. you will get more for your money if you wait.
2. Reduce consumption and get more use out of your current system although it might not be perfect.
3. If you are unsure of what you want, then waiting might give you more time and clarity.

Perfecting metals: Tightly stamped edges on the cover and palm rest are crisp yet gentle on the hands, while contrasting surface finishes of anodized, hairline and diamond cuts harmonize throughout the interior and exterior.

Thanks OP! was looking for a pseudo 'budget' laptop and this seems great! lots of laptop deals lately but was looking for a 13"-14" that was more solidly constructed. Was a bit worried about the Lenovo build structure but this one seems a little more solid, from my uneducated opinion. everythign seems to fit the bill!

Serious question - What major laptop manufacturer is easy to deal with these days? I've heard the same about Lenovo and HP
I bought 2 Lenovo monitors about a month ago and there was an imperfection on 1 of the 2 montiors' backlighting - when the screen is completely white, an area the size of the pinky finger looked noticeably darker. Using their chat function, the Agent simply asked for me to send a pix of the box to confirm model, and they sent me a brand new replacement within 3 days. In that instance, I don't think you could provide better customer service.

Hmm...sounds more like they're beating around the bush. Maybe some of the borders are metal (like around the touchpad), but the chassis looks plastic.

I appreciate the recommendation, but that doesn't really answer the question about this unit.

The part that gets me on any Windows laptop is the forced buying annually of MS Office. Correct me if I am wrong, but there is at least $50.00 annually just to use Word, Excel, PowerPoint etc. I know you can use Google Docs and not pay the annual fee, but I am just so used to MS Office vs Google Docs.
Another option to what was previously mentioned is using MS Office Online for free. Depending on what features you need, it has the same look and feel that you are used to.
I personally think that the Office 365 is a good value since I wanted the cloud storage anyway. I'd be buying storage from someone anyway and get it and Office 365 this way for the same price.

Got similar one of these (7370 model I think) over a year ago thanks to a SD from microsoft store. It was $540 with edu discount. Great for college student and metal design gives it a premium feel.

RAM on the 13" is not upgradable, per the service manual.
