Is this better than the TP-Link Google OnHub AC1900 Router deal?

Same price on BH (clip coupon on page).

Model code is different but it appears to be an identical model according to Asus website (compare tool lists the contents as both being Rr-660U).

https://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/product/1296137-REG/asus_rt_ac66u_b1_dual_band_3x3_ac1750_wifi.html

BH does not have tax in my state while NewEgg does.

Works with aimesh. Not sure what my issue is but nothing in my house seems to seemlessly move from node to node. It almost just acts like an access point. Anytime I'm closer to the node my phone seems to drop data until I cycle wifi. I tried turning down the power. Not sure how to make it work like an actual mesh system with seemless movement

I had this router for many years. It's a workhorse, never dropped. Good signal in two-story 3,700 sq ft house. But I did uprade to two of the ac68u (T-Mobile conversions) in mesh mode...... A little better performance 😁

I have had the exact same problem for almost a year with 3 of these in my house. I work from home and couldn't move my laptop between floors while on a web conference without it dropping my connection. Drove me nuts since I specifically bought these for AiMesh to avoid that problem. Great routers as long as I wasn't moving between nodes.

Can you though? Every time I tried to get the deal, it would never complete even though the same CC works EVERYWHERE else!
And I haven't seen that deal from TMO in months. When was the last time you could?
