Are these 703s going to stick out like a sore thumb mounted on shelves for my basement home theatre?
That's such an opened ended, vague kind of question. Yes? No? I mean wtf does your shelf and basement look like?

I have the Polk monitor 75T toeers with 25C center and 45B bookshelf's with a Demon 4520CI receiver and 2 Dayton 1200 subs. Would I see an improvement and could my receiver handle these?

Yes for sure to the first question.

Picked up the 703's and a 706 last month, Really happy for the price range. No room for towers plus I have a sub. Moved my trusty LSi9's to the living room. The 706 is the match for the 703's not the 704, same size drivers, and it is a beast of a center. Very happy with Polks LSi/m line over the past decade. Let's see how the new stuff compares.

Thank you! Been waiting for the 707 to go on sale for months now. I picked up the 706c a while back when it was at this price. I recommend anyone considering these to please measure first. They are very large.

Damnit. I just paid $1400/pr for these 707 towers a few weeks ago and here they are for $1100/pr. With the new Polk Audio Legend series just announced (full reveal on 9/6 I think), it's no wonder the deal is this good. And if you want my opinion, the new Legend series look like garbage compared to the current LSi series. Anyway, just want to say I have the 707 towers bi-amped (not bi-wired, actually bi-amped) to a Yamaha Aventage 3080 along with the 706 center bi-wired. Using my old Polk Monitor 75Ts as rears in a 5.1 setup with a Polk PS-125 sub and I LOVE it. Best setup I have ever had running by far. I'm using it for critical 2ch listening from DVD Audio & vinyl, home theater, and multi-channel stereo streaming the highest quality Tidal and Spotify formats over WiFi (not bluetooth). I've used some nice Klipsch Reference speakers in the past as well as some fancier JBLs and these 707s are just the best I've ever had. The 706 center sounds INSANELY good in HT or multi-channel stereo. Again, best I've ever heard. To be fair, those other speakers weren't mated to an AVR this good... and they also weren't bi-amped or bi-wired. That said, at $1100/pr, if you have been eyeing these, PULL THE TRIGGER. they're marvelous in every way. Build quality, looks, sound... I'm completely in love. I went with the Mt. Vernon cherry and I couldn't be happier. Ping me if you have any Qs. I'm all too happy to gush about them. I've heard others say they are too big or too boomy. I have found neither of those things to be the case at all. I've also read that they need to be placed further out from the wall. I tested several positions and can confirm they sound as great against the wall as they do pulled out several feet with the crossover set at Large, 40 or 80hz, no problems at all on any setting. The one caveat is they need power. Any old AVR will work of course, but you need at least 150-200 watts to truly make them shine (assuming you listen as critically as I do).
I also paid more a few weeks ago, but called Adorama and they credited the difference.

Ugh, just received a 7.0 LSiM set yesterday at a higher price point. I ordered two 707's, four 703's and a 706c. Going to give them a call on Monday to try and get a price adjustment.

Also, I received the 707's in Mt. Vernon Cherry instead of Midnight Mahogany. I called this morning and got a $100 refund on each speaker because I told them I was fine keeping them instead of returning them. Wish I had known about this sale when I spoke to them.

Finally, the speakers sound great. I upgraded from a full set of Polk RTiA series of speakers : RTiA9's, FXiA6's, and CSiA6. The LSiM speakers are warmer and more musical. I enjoy listening to a lot of surround music and I always found the RTiA speakers a bit bright and fatiguing for music but totally fine for film and television. With the LSiM series, now I feel like I have the best of both worlds. I am using an Emotiva XPA3 Gen3 to power the front three speakers, a Marantz SR7012 to power the rear speakers and four height speakers (Klipsch RP 500SA), and a SVS SB-2000 for LFE duty.

After waiting for long time Just now bought 2 705s with the slickdeals mail in rebate. After going back and forth with wrong color today only I received the correct one and saw this deal. Damn... I should have waited for 707s.

Does anyone else have experience with Adorama's price protection? I bought the 706c back on Aug 12th for $389. Wondering if it's worth my time to call for a credit.

you wont regret. Don't just go by bigger is better. The 705 are better than 707 in certain scenarios. I just saw this deal and since the 705's were still on sale, picked those.

Anyone know if these are a true wood veneer or vinyl wrapped? Polks site does not seem to say and that makes me suspicious.
Pure wood but scratch super easily. Like you have to use a duster before wiping it down with even a microfiber cloth. That being said, if you take care of them, they are gorgeous.

They are real wood veneer with either a gorgeous cherry or blackish/mahogany stain. Absolutely beautiful. The veneer is then covered by a matte satin clear coat that adds a nice sheen without making it look too shiny or plastic. I wouldn't change a thing. No cheapo vinyl wrap on these.
