Anyone looking for a USB-C charger/supply for something like a Nintendo Switch, or PC, or some phones, you need to verify what voltages/currents your device wants. All will do the standard 5V. But there are other voltages for faster charging, and this depends on both what the charger supports, and what your device needs. A lot of these don't match.

For example, I am on a ThinkPad 2-in-1 tablet and it is running on a Nintendo Switch adapter! But I have another "Insignia" (BestBuy) compact laptop, and it won't charge on the Nintendo, but will charge on another adapter (that doesn't support Switch or the ThinkPad...)

So anyway, for slow 5V operation, this will be fine. If you want faster charge or powering PCs, it probably won't do the job...

I use my Pixel 3 charger to power my Yoga laptop. None of the usb-a to usb-c cables/chargers worked with my laptop. An Essential charger worked as well and is USB-PD.

Keep in mind that the faster you charge your batteries, the more wear and tear you're putting on them. It's definitely convenient to charge fast, but don't be surprised if your batteries end up dying more quickly.

Please provide proof and a link. I have never heard this before and am an electronics enthusiast. This sounds like unbiased wives' tale

Faster chargers usually generate more heat which can affect lifetime of the battery.

Regarding the links above to walmart, I suggest only purchasing directly from Walmart/Best Buy, etc. (i.e. no third party sellers). I believe these chargers are a hot commodity for counterfeits.

Agreed! I saw the following 2* review under the $9.95 version, Not OEM! Frown

ETA: Added two more 1* reviews, not OEM. I always check the 1 star and 2 star reviews first Smilie

I would strongly advice against anyone planning to change the Nintendo switch using this. The Nintendo switch battery management system doesn't align with usb standard for charging and power delivery. Most time I wouldn't cause immediately hard to your console. But it does affect the cell longevity and puts a bigger strain on the LDOs of the device.
