A "popular deal" at $800 a few days ago. I'd like someone to explain to me how this isn't a steal once you get 10% back from one of those cash back sites, makes the net $443 + tax--if you can use the gift cert.

I did contact Dell to confirm that the gift cert can be used in the Dell Outlet.

Positives:
--high IQ and contrast ratio
--good if not great brightness for HDR

Negatives:
--mediocre upscaling
--subpar apps
--no motion interpolation--only needed for sports???

Anything else?

This was basically my understanding and at this price I was willing to pull the trigger. Hopefully watching sports isn't too bad.

I'm more concerned about the upscaling and maybe the app support. But overall this seems a tremendous TV for the price.

My local Costco has a PQ65-F that was a customer return marked down to $1,000. It's been going nowhere at that price, so I've been hoping they'll mark it down further. But even if they knocked off another $200 (unlikely), should I spend another $350-550 for that TV? It will have the same upscaling issues.

Everything else comparable is too expensive.

Talk to the manager. I've managed to steal speakers, TVs, handmade rugs and cars with golden negotiating skills. Just have to incentivize the sale as you're really the one doing them a favor, if you know what I'm getting at. Learn to negotiate and almost never pay retail unless you want to.

I've asked the guys if it would help if I spoke with a manager, and they said it would not. Multiple times. But perhaps I should just go directly to the manager.

BUT at what price would the PQ make sense compared to the TV here? And that customer return has been running every hour the store is open for a few weeks now.

Could you elaborate on these skills you use? Are you just being polite and cordial? Or by "incentivize the sale" do you mean you slip the salesman a "gratuity" for dropping the price? I'm genuinelly curious.Smilie

So for those that want to liquidate the gift card, do you turn to a service like Raise or something?

In the past this was possible. Hasn't been an option to sell promo cards on raise in a while. The expiration is tricky too. Personally I'd look for something to flip local. The 50in vizio moves on Facebook at like 250 I've found

The 65 inch has 40 local dimming zones, so don't be confused by the "up to 90 local dimming zones". Costco has this in their warehouse for $619 right now.

The Vizio M series are great TVs... But honestly, in this price range, I'd rather have the TCL 6 series 65" ($699 at Costco right now) with it's 120 local dimming zones and built in Roku (rather than Google Chromecast). Not much out there that can compete with it until you start stepping up to the Vizio P Quantum X level (unless you absolutely have to have a 120hz native panel).
The one you are referring to Costco is M657 model which has 20 local dimming zones and 400 nits peak brightness. This is M658 which has have 90 local dimming zones and 600 nits peak brightness.
