Got one on eBay for ~$3 and it works well at least with iPhone6 to iPhoneX. Why would one pay >$10 for it?

Doubt you got a USB-C one for $3.

If you did, I wouldn't use it.

It is up to you. The are the same OEM. I use it and it works well. Most of the cost goes to the apple certification process. The cable does not worth $10.

Yup and delivery from Sept to November timeframe LOL

I did buy some from their US store before (usb-c to Lightning) and only 2 of the 5 worked out of the box and 1 says it is charging yet the battery % never increases

Got the same cable, from the same seller lol. Been working for the last two months fine. Probably all made from the same factory since Apple only recently opened the patent for the usb c to lightning cables.

Are there any USB A to Lightning PD cables?
I'm not sure if it's even possible for USB A to carry more than 5 watt.
