Does anybody know the screen specs? I can't find clear info about the refresh rate and color gamut.

Says 60hz on the description so I wouldn't think it would be higher than that. It could be TN as most of the GL series are TN.

How good of a deal is this? Wanting to buy a gaming rig or laptop. Would I be better off building something for $450 price range?

This is $600 after MIR and promo code EMCTETW22

1050 ti not considered "gaming"... lower end of the 1000 gpus.

Way better than integrated though.

1050 TI is definitely for gaming. Many of the sub $1k gaming laptops have this. Should be obvious though, considering this is an MSI "Gaming" laptop.

If you want something you can play any game on and keep for a while, look for a 1660ti or better (2060 or 2070). Laptop deals w/1660ti are common lately too, the Dell G3 being the cheapest.

1050 TI is good for light Gaming with low settings. If you want higher settings or newer games then this will not be enough. 1060 with 6GB at least, better a 1070 or higher.

600... Add 300 for that and u get

1. 144hz
2. 1660 TI
3. i7 9750H
4. 16gb Ram
5. Better WiFi card.

I would do that 300 bucks upgrade.
