Any quality budget board recommendations to pair with this?
I second this. Anyone know of a good budget board that doesn't overclock to use this CPU with?

If someone can recommend one I think I'll jump on both too!

For me, I had a gtx 2080ti fail with corruption and system locks, had to RMA it, and it was nice to be able to keep working on my computer for the week or so it took to send and receive a new one. My friend and I were troubleshooting his system not posting, and we wasted a lot of time thinking it was the cpu, motherboard, psu, motherboard problem. We ended up buying this cpu, and got the same problem but couldn't test without the gfx card that ended up being the real faulty culprit. Only after we pulled another gfx card from another system were we able to see. Also, these chips are so new that if you don't get a newer motherboard or a newer stock of older motherboards with a bios after April 2019, you might not be able to get it to boot without a surrogate intel 7 or 8 series to update the bios with.
Still way better to get something like this and have like gtx 1030 as backup. They are like $30 on eBay.

I came for the AMD fanboys comments. Don't disappoint me now.
Intel scared of the 3500 and losing 100% of the desktop market. QUICK, DROP THE 9400F! LMAO

Sorry to disappoint, just facts. Both are worthless CPUs. No SMT is a dead end no matter how cheap it is. Get a 3600 and call it a day.

Any cheap H310 would work but you need to make sure the bios is updated.

I paired it with a Asus Prime B360M-a. The bios version on mine was way past the required one for 9th gen CPUs, so it should work out of the box. Big note tho, since this cpu has no integrated graphics, ur Mobo vga will not work. thus you can't post without a discrete graphics card. Learned from experience Frown

Unless they make the 3500 $130, how would it even compete with this lol.
3600 cost 50% more for 25% better performance. That's def quality advice. ROFL.

Lol. Zen 2 can't even boost their advertise speed. It's another class action waiting to happen.

Most newer Mobo's can update themselves right inside the BIOS via WiFi can't they?

You need to actually be able to boot before you can even enter the BIOS, otherwise you wouldn't need to update at all
