This model has defective thermal design and can't stop overheating with fan running at full speed

<<alternate opinion: MANY people had valid problems with the 3579 version of this model and overheating. Opinions on the 3590 are generally better. To each his own. Have had this machine 3 weeks, undervolted with ThrottleStop, and am quite happy with it.>>

Great thread over here about modifications, thermals, etc. reddit.com/r/Dell/comments/cmx7me/g3_3590_undervolts_overclocks_and_screen_upgrades/

But let's be honest - you shouldn't need to do ANYTHING like that to be able to play games on what is advertised as a gaming laptop

That and Intel slashing CPU prices to maintain lead in the mobile CPU segment before AMD releases mobile CPUs based off Ryzen 2 architecture. Competition is good for us consumers. Tariffs are not.

And the fact that Chinese tariffs go into effect on computers after the holidays - they want to sell as much as possible before that.

Great price. But seeing how these laptops are dropping down in price so fast, what is up?

War between amd and nvdidia now that amd is competitive again for first time in a looooooong time in budget market, as well as ram finally beginning to stabilize in price as well as new gpus launching, so "old" inventory is being slashed. It will get even crazier on bf.

Any idea if this is the 200nits or 300nits screen?

Get a 10% off coupon for signing up here, better than the 50 off: https://www.dell.com/preferences/signup/

Also, I'm guessing they're just trying to shift the White units, if you look the the description it's the white-only model.

Why is Dell still selling G3 piece of garbage? This model has defective thermal design and can't stop overheating with fan running at full speed
