This is the one with the single HDMI in. Not an issue for some, but worth highlighting.

I would personally go for Freesync on the LG 29UM69G-B for $20 more from B&H

Is this any better than 1080 24 inch IPS? In term of dpi. Possible layout I'm thinking about, 2x 24" monitors IPS. If this monitor gives me about same real estate to work with 1x monitor, just enough space to have few programs open. Or should I go with 2x this monitor.

I really want an ultrawide but I just bought a 24" and monitors are a pain to resell.

I own the 29UM68P and it's a solid monitor. Paid $180 flat from BH Photo in May of 2018 and I think difference between this one and mine is USB-C whereas mine has a Mini DisplayPort.

Internal speakers are typical internal speakers. Kind of weak but I use headphones when I game anyway or watch media. But they're good enough and I think there's a headphone jack on mine in the back, so you can plug in external speakers.

Anyone know if this monitor will charge a USB-C connected laptop while displaying?

thanks for pointing that out, it does suck as it only has video input. at least display port and hdmi or 2x hdmi.
