Double the price of the Wyze, plus requires $5 per month for very basic features, like being able to record any events. Plus has no onboard storage and only 720p. Has no 3rd party integration (Alexa, Google Home, Homekit, ect). Also it has no ability for wall or surface mounting.

There is absoultly zero reason to ever buy this unless you have the SimpliSafe security system.

Yes you can flash the Wyze to rstp (OpenIP) and it also supports local SD storage.

I've read that RSTP is a bit half-baked with Wyze. I'm interested in a USB webcam that has good night vision. That way I can connect a Raspberry Pi to it and know it's not doing anything weird in my network.

Not if you're already a Simplisafe customer with more than just the cheapest tier of monitoring.

I have 6 cameras and don't pay extra for any of them.

I've had great success with mine. No problems.
Best camera I've tried. That said the only others I've tried were Kodak, foscam, and Zmodo ones that I got dirt cheap.

What I love about simplisafe camera is that they have a physical shutter that you can hear when it opens and there is an led that lights up when it is recording.

You don't have to worry about hacked cameras spying on you without you knowing. Syncs nicely with simplisafe alarm system automatically recording when alarm activated or deactivated, etc.

Great product if you have simplisafe. Probably wouldn't bother if I didn't.

If I hadn't received one for free with my system, I might never had tried it. The camera works flawless, never lags or disconnects. The service is included with my monitoring for as many cams as I can eat. As a previous poster noted, the loud audible shutter is awesome.

In for two more.

Love how every time there is a camera deal, there are always the same 5 Wyze fanboys who completely hijack the thread.

Literally threadcrap ANY camera deal that isn't Wyze, the shill cam of choice here.

But be sure to check out Wyze on Fakespot before getting sucked in by these threadjackers.
