Battery powered Quartz. I remember when Movado used to make good watches. Their retail prices are inflated on that site. IMO.

Their retail prices are inflated everywhere but sub $300 for this watch is a very fair price.

There is nothing wrong with a nice quartz watch. I have autos I spent up to $4k on and the watch I where most and get the most compliments on is my Movado 800 Series. Out of all my watches (and I've had quite a few) none have held up as well as my Movado.

Beware! Both of my watches bought from Ashford stopped working after two years: A Movado 800 series and an automatic Edox. Both movements need to be replaced.

Which was not covered under warranty right? As their warranty is only for 2 years.

Correct. You're on your own after two years. I sent my automatic Edox for repair within the second year because it stopped working... got it back and was working for less than year. Now, I'm stuck with a dead watch. Took it to Fast-Fix Jewelry and Watch Repair and they said that the movement needs to be replaced, $400!

Oh that sucks ! I haven't purchased anything from Ashford yet but have been looking there ! From what I understood they seem to be a better grey market dealer but I guess debatable lol

Bought a Movado that developed humidity inside. I opened it up to low temp bake it out but by the time I even did that the hands already corroded.

Once you take the rear cover off and see it's a plastic frame with a tiny movement you realize you are just paying for the name.

Replaced it with a $10 plain Timex and the battery lasts longer and it hasn't gotten wet inside.

I'd avoid it unless image is for you.

WHY WOULD YOU NEED "quite a few" WATCHES! SOUNDS LIKE WOMEN BUYING PURSES.. SUCH A WASTE OF MONEY! I HATE QUARTZ WATCHES JUST BECAUSE OF THE HEADACHE HAVING TO CHANGE THE BATTERY ONCE IN EVERY TWELVE MONTHS?

IF YOU ARE GENEROUS YOU CAN HELP THE BAHAMAS HURRICANE VICTIMS! PERFECT TIMING!

It's almost like people can do what they want with their money and it's not any of your business.
