For everyone that's concerned about the dimensions, please note that the dimensions that Samsonite quotes are WITHOUT the wheels. TSA's max allowable dimensions INCLUDE wheels and handle.

On your 3rd bag...you mean dont lock it at all?
I never lock any of my bags either for international or domestic travel.. For international I always found a TSA inspected card.. Did not lose anything so far from any of the bags

Buydig deals always make to popular or frontpage . Interesting 🤔
They pay big bucks to SD to be on the front page.

I found this same model, 25" size, and color at my Marshall's for $89.99. This zipper-less luggage can be had for less.

How does this model hold up versus traditional zipper style baggage?
Sadly, all luggage takes a beating and wears out as airlines and whoever throw it around. Lifespan is typically limited no matter how much you spend.

It's not baggage handlers who do that - it is customs.
Customs or TSA do it if the lock is not TSA compliant. But then, they usually clip the lock rather than cut the fabric.

Baggage handlers, and occasionally other passengers, are the usual suspects. Sometimes staff at cheaper hotels. Typically, they don't cut the fabric, but unzip the zipper. It's not so easy with a one-way (think jeans), but extremely easy with a two-way like in modern suitcases.
After they unzip, extract the goodies, and rezip, the owner is none the wiser and does not even notice until much much later.

Which size would be best as a carry-on? The smallest one?

IMO these aren't a good deal unless this "brand" is worth paying extra for.

FYI some airlines, especially domestic won't take width larger than 14"

• Weight: 8.1 lbs.
Body Dimensions: 20.25" x 14.6" x 9.5"
Overall Dimensions: 22.25" x 15.5" x 9.5"

The smallest one is the only one that could be a carry-on, but even then you'll be at the mercy of each individual airline's exact rules and whether the person behind the counter feels like enforcing them that day.

I've flown with a 20" luggage with roughly those same dimensions all over the US and abroad several times, and only had a problem twice - once on Aeroflot and once on Air Baltic. Both times the luggage did not fit in their (undersized by US standards) carry on frame and I was forced to check it.

This is an ok price, not the best. If you want one for now, go ahead with them. Otherwise I would expect another 20%.

I'm currently in Barbados with this suitcase from the last deal. It held up through international travel and has ample room for myself. It's a winner in my book.
Imagine being in Barbados and spending time SD'ing. smh.Confused

bought one, the way the latch work is a little weird, but it looks nice in real life. very light, not as light as a full nylon zip bag, but pretty light for a hard case.
