I have a large German Shepherd that blows her coat 2-3 times a year upon season change that creates daily vacuuming in the casa. So for many years I have bought numerous grooming tools to find a remedy.

I started with the large bendable saw blade that you would curl which was effective at the time but is not good for a dog's coat, even though it's effective pulling large clumps of old hair, because it basically cuts the new growth as well which in turn makes their coat feel rough.

Few years later Furminator launches their deshedding tool at a whopping $45 at the time that put me in sticker shock but was highly recommended by my vet as well as a family member. So complained at the time due to the design being so simple comparing it to the sawblade comb that was a tenth of the price where I finally pulled the trigger and bought one. After my first usage I was SOLD! It was a night and day difference where I saw the value. Now the damn things can be picked up for approx $15 with an even better design because I have one of those too now!

The point of my rant is the company has now expanded their product line covering all aspects of grooming but does not have a bunch of gimmicky crap that waters down their brand. They have done a great job of selecting basic tools that work where I trust the brand, especially at their pricing point now, where I hope the originators of the company are reaping the rewards vs a corporate take over or vc firm that would typically absorb the company tweaking the necessary components of the product creating bigger margins typically ruin the the brand.

So today, since it's payday, I just bought 7 of the items listed above for almost half of what I initially paid for buying the first one. Great deal, thank you for posting, and happy grooming to those that love their pets as much as I.

I've wanted to try a nail grinder for my cat's claws but when he lets me clipping them with small nail clippers can go by pretty fast.

I would recommended using the nail grinder without the plastic guard (making sure to trim or hold back any long fur which may become wrapped around the moving shaft). On similar products, dogs' nails have accidentally become trapped between the sanding wheel and the guard, resulting in a painful injury as the entire nail was ripped from the toe.

Looks like their deshedding shampoo is also marked down $3.14 from $14:

The nail grinder is underpowered garbage that will only scare your pooch half to death.
https://www.amazon.com/Furminator...geNumber=1

If you want to use something like this, get the Dremel.

I highly doubt these are furminator products. Most likely chinese knockoffs.

A Dremel can absolutely work for this purpose, but make sure to research the proper settings to use. If it's set to run too fast, it will get too hot to use on your dog without causing them pain. For that reason, this product isn't necessarily underpowered, because it doesn't need the full capabilities/power of a Dremel. There's a lot of discussion about using a Dremel to file down a dog's nails online, including speed and disc type recommendations.
