Damn that's unfortunate. Nest it is then. Do you personally have one or that's just a common issue

I have had 6 of these cameras for nearly 2 years. No issues at all. Quality camera at fairly inexpensive price.

I have 5 and the only one I occasionally need to reboot is the Arlo Q Plus (I think that's what it's called). It's the one that had PoE. I wonder if the lack of power will occasionally mess it up. That being said, it's probably been 4 times total over around the 2 year period I've had them as well. My easy fix was plugging the PoE adapter into a smart switch so if I happened to be out of town and it went down I could turn the switch off and back on and the camera would reboot.

Arlo definitely catches some slack but I've been very happy with mine.

I have three Arlo cameras. Extra batteries were quite expensive. And charging is a pain so after six months of frequent charging, I just leave them dead. Useless...except that people still "think" they are being recorded. Sure wish I had bought cameras with plug option. Also, the one at my front door takes so long to start recording when motion is detected that I only see the delivery guy's foot (if anything) as they walk away.

Save your money and get a Wyze (permitting you dont mind the shorter length cloud storage or using a SD card)

I don't know how common I have seen it mentioned on a few forums but I switched to a wyze cam pan that works well but you have the 5 minute buffer for cloud events. I use a microsd for continuous recording and a ring stick up wired cam as well.

This is a decent camera but I wanted to mention that they recently added Homekit support for their wireless cameras, so far they have not added it to this. I don't know if they will or not. It might not be a big deal to many people but something to keep in mind.

Glad that worked out for you - I have the same problem and was considering doing this to ensure the camera comes back when it needs to be remotely reset. My issue is that the camera disconnects from the closest wifi mesh point, and connects to the farther one, which results in the purple blinking light - super super annoying.

Agree. Not sure why someone would spend more.

For the relatively same tech offers, this is way overpriced and one of the main reasons why Wyze makes more sense.
If they put it's price around $50 bucks vs. $25 for Wyze, then it's reasonable.

Downside about wyze cameras are it records the first 10 seconds and misses out on the rest of the activity. Doesn't even try for another 5 or 10 mins. On Arlo it continues to record for as long as there is activity.
