Will this make me play like Davie504?

I don't own one, but will share common knowledge. These have a thin, very easy to play neck if that's the style you like. Also typically very lightweight, with good overall ergonomics. Decent hardware, ie bridge and tuners, and meh ... electronics. OK but not great.

This would be a great beginner bass for someone leaning toward the SR series of Ibanez basses, which start here and go up into the thousands with their Premium and Prestige SRs. I had a SR1300 which was an amazing bass.

You get a heck of a lot of bass with either Ibanez family of basses, these, or the TMB series, which are stylistically much closer to Fender, with thicker necks and more traditional body styles.

Does anyone own one of these, and can they mention any pros and cons?

Ibanez has been making this model for a very long time. They are perfectly fine starter basses and probably the best option under $200.

I bought it last go around. I'm a beginner, so far I really have enjoyed it. Only gripe is that it's uuuuuultra light weight, feels odd with it being so light. As for sound/tone etc, I'm no pro but it sounds good coming out of my Orange 50w 1x12 amp.

I bought it last go round too. I have a bunch of basses around the $1,000 mark and I've been reaching for this one because it us so light and the neck is easy to play on. Definitely worth the price if you're a beginner or want a bass you can gig with that might get scratches or beer spilled on it. It also has 22 frets and none of my other basses did.

Can we plug in headphone jack or something into this and play so that I don't disturb others? Also, if I dont have an amp or any external device, will I still be able to play ?

To use headphones, you need a Headphone Guitar Amp. I have the Nady Axehead, and it works great. There are many other brands available, too. You can also practice without any amplifier just fine.

You'll need an external device, but it can be a small adapter that allows you to plug into an iPad or smartphone or computer.

Check out the iRig series of devices and their direct competitors.

But folks please note that this is a bass guitar... If you truly want to hear the tones then you will need to make sure that your speaker can reach the right range.

Headphones through a smartphone might work out, depending on what you have, but an internal smartphone speaker is not going to keep you inspired.

If you wanbt to really hear yourself play, you'll need something to amplify the electric signal (like an amp) or to record and play back the signal (like a digital amp for an iPad or PC). Most amplifiers have a headphone jack.

But you can practice unplugged - I do most of the time.
