Lol ya don't buy these because they're Chinese made and will, with great certainty, both spontaneously combust then explode in your face horribly scarring you for life and stealing top secret American technology in the process!!!! /s

I'm not worried about it at all for something like a cheap pair of pliers for around the house. Nor am I worried about having to replace these in a few years. There will probably be QOL improvements by then anyway.

I have quite a few Irwin pliers - a division of our company is a dealer so I get them for cost. The quality is okay, my biggest complaint is the handles. The ill-conceived slip-on grips work loose with repeated use very quickly. And once they slip off the first time it's over. They constantly work loose after that.
(This comment will of course result in people replying with "Duh...glue them in place." Which of course ignores that the manufacturer could have done a proper job in the first place.)
This probably won't be an issue if you're an electrician or something and the tools never get damp or oily. I'm an equipment tech and this isn't the case for me as all my stuff gets carried around jobsites in a tool bag to repair machinery on construction sites....

Exactly!

That statement isn't %100 accurate. A big percentage of iPhones are "ASSEMBLED" by 3rd party companies such as Foxconn and Pegatron. Foxconn has factories in the Czech republic, Thailand, Singapore, Malaysia, etc..

They get their parts from different suppliers and from all over the planet.

I'm not going to bore everyone into a coma and list every part inside an iphone and what country(ies) it comes from, but even the parts come from all different types of countries from India, south Korea, UK, Israel, Greece, France, Japan, Mexico and lots more.

So, yeah, the more ya know.....Peace

The following are eligible for this promotion and are made by NWS in Germany for Irwin:

Long needle nose pliers:
https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00N3VS...PDKIKX0DER

Diagonal high leverage cutters for hard-wire:
https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00N3VS...X0DER&th=1

Lineman's pliers:
https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00N3VS...PDKIKX0DER

The 8" version of the needle nose and two longest offerings on the lineman's pliers are also eligible. The lanyards for these seem to be NWS compatible as well.

I've got the NWS-made Irwin ergo pliers from this series and find them to be on par with my many Knipex pliers in terms of build quality. The cutting edge hardness is awesome. The piano-wire claim is legit.
Thanks for this as well. Very helpful.

Tempting, but true NWS branded stuff can be had for similar prices. The only reason I'd go with a re-branded product would be for a great deal, or possibly the warranty.

I got excited about the ergo pliers, but they don't seem to be included in the promotion.

Worth looking at the NWS stuff if you're in the market. I've got a few pair of cutters and pliers and all are excellent quality. The grips, despite looking like they came out of a Star Wars cartoon — are awesome.
