Don't fret if it is not in stock near your location. Amazon sells it for $6.94.

Could be a good thing to the extent that MOV protectors wear out or may otherwise not help.

Brickseek doesn't blow. It is only as good as the store's data is. If you were in one store and asked them to look up inventory in another store, they'd give you similar real-time inaccurate data. I've used BS a number of times to save me trips and to accurately find me products.

If you set your expectations of what brickseek actually offers, you won't be nearly as disappointed.

It's your (currently) unrealistic view of real-time inventory that blows.

I just bought this one in-store and it rang up as $6 even though the price on shelf said $12.97. They were out of OPs post, but this is a way better deal IMO for $2 more. Hope others have same luck. At least price match to online of $7.97.

I agree. I just found this product at the store and there were exactly 3 on the shelf, just like BS said were there.

I just measured the quiescent current of the tap = 10 mA AC. Which translates to about $1.30 per year electricity cost if the tap is left plugged in and never used.

I have compared the quiescent current of the tap with a current drawn by other USB chargers (see the attached picture): by Apple, Samsung and LG. Keep in mind, this is the current drawn by the device alone, with nothing plugged into it. The little Apple cube takes 6 mA (about $0.70 a year), the Samsung and the LG had negligent quiescent current, not showing anything above 0.000 Amp on the AC Ammeter that I used.

The clearance price at WM could be (it's a guess) due to the relatively high quiescent current compared to the newer chargers with newer technology.
