Gonna be waiting a while.

Once Samsung & Vizio finally release an OLED a year or so from now, hopefully the prices on these 77's come down a bit more.

I'm hopeful for BF timing. There is a surplus of these plus they can now produce faster than they can sell. And of course, dun dun dun ..... recession.

Not going to happen. Plus good TVs dont get cheap during BF. BF sales are only on garbage doorbuster cheap models. High end TVs go one sale around Superbowl or Closeout time.

I've been tracking the price of these things for the past several years. BF isn't actually the best time to buy. The best time is from March-May, right when the new models come out, and retailers are trying to clear out last year's stock.

Mid-April this year is when the 65" models were at their lowest price. Mid-May is really the first time the 77C8's were below 4k consistently, hitting a yearly low in mid-August.

Do you guys think this TV will get down to $3000? If so when would be your best guess?

Should be $3500-3700 by BF, $3200 possibly around Feb/March, maybe $3000 around May

Next spring to early summer is the best guess, but it wouldn't surprise me if it didn't hit 3k until 2021.

Thanks. Am looking to buy, but will be patient. Great info 👍.

The nice thing about buying around this time also is that the new models have all at least been announced, so you can see what the features and retail prices will be. Sometimes there are definitely reasons to wait for the next model, since features tend to work their way down into cheaper models. But you should know all of this by the spring even if the new ones aren't available yet.

Actually they are the lowest of the year now, New 2019s have never been lower

Find me a 2018 (which I was referring to) 65 inch for lower than the 1449 that was listed in May.

I'll wait.

Highly doubtful. Last year's C8 was $3800 in May 2019, which is when I purchased. The C8 hasn't hit $3,200 yet, and definitely not $3,000. I don't think the C9 will be $3k next year.

LG is not the only OLED player anymore and the cost to build the large-frame (75"+) has come way down. Just like how 65" slowly fell into line with the 55"s, so will the 77" OLED. All aboard the $3000 BF train, choooo chooooo
