There is a power cycling issue and most of the amazon reviews recommend not to buy.

Not sure that the Amazon reviews point to this (E2318HR) model. Dell sells a wide variety of monitors and model names/numbers can be confusing. I think many of the Amazon reviews under E2318HR item listing are actually pointing to a 23.8" monitor, likely SE2416HX but not sure. I'm not 100% sure but as far as I know, all of our Dell monitors at work have been fine power-wise. No such issues and many of them are several years old and have a good number of "miles" on them. We must have been fortunate and did not buy any of the more problematic models.

my monitor is getting kind of old and this looks like a heck of a deal, so I ordered one--thanks---after reading the reviews im having second thoughts and may cancel--it says it has a 3 yr warranty--has anyone had any experience with the dell 3 yr warranty, and if so why are all of these reviews saying dell wouldn't help them after a year

I guess it's cheap for a reason lol those edges does bring back early 2000 monitor looks. Is this an actual new production? Or years old model? I can't seem to find much info about this.

Although it will say the coupon is not valid, it is applied when checking out.

I believe the 18 is the 2018 production year.

The "18" is for 2018 but that's not necessarily the production year. I think of it more like the approx. year the model was released. I have some P2214xx monitors that have 2015 and 2016 manufacturing dates.

I meant it marks the year it first went into production.
