I went to buy ecobee4 for 169.99 and even bought one. but while picking up, costco employee brought ecobee3 lite with 2 sensors and that was for $65.97. I ended up buying two of ecobee3 lite instead. wondering which one I should keep ecobee4 or ecobee3 lite. I dont care about alexa built in and I dont have any extra humidifier or accessories..

Costco Item number: 1239084

you can call nearby costco and ask if they have in stock.

[Update] I was able to submit pge rebate for the two thermostats 50$ each.. it shows I will get 100$ back. pretty sweet deal if I can get it. lets see.

143$-100$ = 43$ for two ecobee3 lite thermostat with 2 room sensors Big Grin

I have not seen that at my Costco for several months. They have the Ecobee 4 though.

I have the 4th Ed for my old house and the 3rd Ed for my current house. There's a few things beside Alexa in the 4th that aren't in the 3rd that I'm ok with not being there.

To me the lower price and extra sensor are more valuable than the features.

same for me. here is the comparison I found
https://support.ecobee.com/hc/en-...d-ecobee3-

alexa - dont care
accessary control - not needed, I just have ac and heating
built in occupancy control - its ok since I have two room sensor included with ecobe3 lite

anyone knows difference between smart sensor and room sensor?

You spoke with support or the store directly?

I called the cedar park location. They said they had none and didn't see any in the system for Pflugerville, Arboretum, and south Austin.
