Mechanical keyboards have a huge following. Many people like to switch out the various parts of them to make them personal. Keycaps are of those parts. Say you have a black mechanical keyboard with black keycaps... you can buy a new set in any color combination you want and get a totally new look. That is probably the most popular way to customize. I personally have a completely build-from-scratch board. It has an aluminum case, carbon fiber plate, programmable PCB, custom YOK holy panda switches, and GMK Necro keycaps. I even made my own USB power cable for it.

These are key caps not the keyboard.

I'm definitely in the "mechanical keyboard enthusiast" group - my last set of keycaps I paid just shy of $200 for (GMK Serika) - but these are quality caps at a good price - your Razer/Corsair/Logitech caps are super thin pieces of crap compared to these.

Then again, I do recognize that my hobby is a bit of a ridiculous one, but it's something I enjoy nonetheless

I was about to post this great deal (repped), but figured I'd ask a question instead. I haven't seen an answer when I searched, but does anyone know what parts of the Keycaps are ABS with them being 85% PBT?

I just bought the AKKO 3087SP Ocean Star from Aliexpress and am wondering what parts are PBT vs ABS.

The common denominator is AKKO and it looks like it's their 85% PBT design.

Thank you, I wasn't sure what the price was suppose to be when I clicked on the link so I wasn't sure if the $39 was the deal or not. They really should update the title of the post with the price.

Does anyone know if $39 is a good deal for this item?

That's a good question. If I had to guess, I would say that they mean that some of the keys are ABS, but I suppose they could also mean that part of the key like the underside is made of ABS. I know it can be hard to make long keys like spacebars out of PBT, and I'm also not sure if it's possible to add color graphics like these with PBT so that's why I was wondering if they used ABS for just those keys

DyeSub print is good. OEM profile is ok I would prefer Cherry profile. PBT won't shine like ABS so they are tougher. Thickness is 1.2mm I preferred 1.5mm but 1.2mm is common among mass produced sets. The site mentioned anti slip not sure if these caps are coated because that could be a deciding factor for someone as they do feel different. For the price though it's a good deal if you want pinkish Sakura themed keyset.

Hmm doesn't mention the switch type... Ducky makes great keyboards.

EDIT: Sorry missed that these are just keycaps. Either way ducky makes quality stuff.

These go on sale at this price pretty often on bang.....good, and are around this price on eBay and Ali occasionally. It's not a bad deal if you want this set...

AKKO x Ducky caps are high quality, but be aware that they are not shine through - no RGB light will come through the keys, only around the edges. Also, if you don't have a keycap puller, you will need one to switch the keys without risking damage to the stems and stabilizers.

I use the Queen set on my Vermilo and like it a lot.
