Amazon has Kingston Technology HyperX Impact 16GB 2666MHz DDR4 CL15 260-Pin SODIMM Laptop Memory (HX426S15IB2/16) for $57.99 with free shipping for prime members.

Just yesterday the cost was $72.99. The current price of $57.99 is the lowest it's ever been according to camelx3.

Which one you think is better?

It is too late now but this one will give better performance as it is CL15 vs CL19 (lower is better). For reliability they should not differ. Ram is usually a component that becomes obsolete, does not break down over time or use.

Ok. I've recently bought an ASUS Tuf gaming laptop. It's got 8 GB, but I've been looking for 16. In general, would performance vary much with 1 of these versus a 2 x 8 set? I could also add this to what I have to get to 24. Any RAM experts have an idea? I basically use the system for productivity, but on rare occasion, I play games.

You'll get a pretty significant performance hit if you play games in single channel ram. Not sure about productivity task.

If you are planning to mix and match ram then this is not worth it as you're paying a premium for the low cas and your ram will go as fast as the slowest stick. 16gb can be had for 35-45$ if you wait for a good sale.

Thank you! I presumed 2 x 8 GB would probably be better. Wish I had the extra budget, I'd just grab two of the 16 GB (which is now OOS). I appreciate your help!

my order originally scheduled for October delivery is now shipping in mid-September.

Also, just checked and I see this available for order again at $58, in stock late Sept.
