How many ¼ inch sockets do you want?

No this kit is only Allen head and torques. You won't be able to do much with this kit.
Honestly for your price range I'd check harbor freight.

This is a good set although the quality is so so. I got it for $19.99 before they closed all the Kmarts and Sears in my area.

Do the hex bits come out of the socket to have more sockets?

I am looking for an excellent tool kit for my automobile to keep in my vehicle for ordinary and emergency repairs.
Would this be about it? or can i do better for under $50.

I have this exact set. I think I paid this or less a couple years ago. Great set to add to your collection. For $25, that one time you use it will pay for itself.

Very useful set. Was lucky enough to get one of these made in USA a handful of years ago.

I bought this last year for 22.99 I think. I have used it a few times and everything has held up nicely. The overall quality is not fantastic, but it is plenty good for the occasional DIY use. I mainly use mine for all of the Torx bolts on my truck.

This is the most used tool set I have ever bought from Sears. I ride motorcycles and they always have Allen/hex fittings... I just bought two more sets because eventually they'll go out of business and I'll wish I had these. Plus I had $13 in their bucks from God knows what to knock off even more.

On a rare occasion I have had the bit pop out of the socket on one or two, but they push right back and and stay firmly. It's mainly when I'm really cranking something down.

I would avoid this set. It's a hodgepodge of bits. You'll probably never use some of those and you'll be missing sizes you need. I'd suggest spending a little more and getting a more expensive bit set like the one from Husky.

This is not the regular set you would need for car repair. I have another set of Craftsman for that. This set adds some additional pieces that are hard to find. I use the extender from this set most often. Then I used some of the hex bits for instrument repair.
