If you're going to using this a lot, I would recommend getting a speed cube made completely of plastic (no stickers). The stickers on these eventually start peeling and coming off, making the cube useless. Also, the speed cubes are so much smoother to use.

These have shown up at $3.50 several times and as low as $2.

Not a bad price at $4.50, but maybe it will help people from impulsive purchases.

My cousin's hobby was speed cubing when we were growing up. He won a few thousand dollars from competing. I think some see it as a fad but for others it's like a cool hobby.

Interesting.

Which would you rather pick for hobby. Rubik cube or Fortnite?!

Looks like Amazon has price matched: https://www.amazon.com/Hasbro-Gaming-Rubiks-Puzzle-Classic/dp/B00I19QZX8/

My kids got deep into speed cubing this summer. They both have sub-30 second solve times. It's a great hobby with a very low cost of entry, even when you get into the "high-end" speed-cubes!

I agree. In addition, if someone wants to play with these for long time and improve his speed, I suggest to go with air magnet version. It's expensive but very stable and last much longer. Otherwise, just buy this deal.

They don't use stickers on these ones anymore. They're pretty good. But speed cubes are still better if you're starting to do it alot.

It's worth mentioning that if you know someone that plays with these, don't get one of these cubes. Despite the name, this considered basically the bottom of the barrel in quality.
