Anyone want to speculate when these specs on a monitor + 144Hz would be the same price?
I think its going to be a while.

But 1440P@144hz is coming down to the $300 - $350 range. Thats what I hope to get next. Its going to be a long time before I have a GPU that can push 4K@144hz anyway.

I'm no panel expert, but my estimate is this should be a common occurrence by around 2023.

One thing to note is the LG for some godforsaken reason doesn't have auto-input on their 4k line (at least on the higher end). If you have multiple inputs it's one notable annoyance.

No, they should just get a tv
I can't find a 4k TV with a 5ms response time and <10ms input lag. For quick twitch competitive shooters, a monitor is the way to go.

I'm not sure why anyone would want a 4k 144hz monitor right now, neither graphics cards nor the interface can support that right now, and it's gonna be at least a year or two before that happens. If you're waiting for 4k 144hz you're gonna be waiting a while.

Can RX 570 graphical card hand this 4K monitor? Well, 2K is enough for 27''
rx 570 is gonna have a hard time pushing 4K, and even 2K. And "2K" is perfect for 27"

This is the generation before. It seem like the majority of the changes were cosmetic....but do not quote me on that.

Amazon has this for $289. Is this really front page worthy? $12-13 savings.

4K may be a bit overkill for a 27 inch. Wish this is bigger like 32inch.
I love my 27" 4k and preferred it to the 27" fhd that I looked at in the store.. you get more real estate with 4k

It's all preference and what types of games you primarily play and what resolutions your GPU can handle. I just built a new PC with a 3700x and 5700 XT. I decided to go with an ultrawide 1440p @100hz. I also do a little video editing and don't play a lot of competitive FPS games on PC so the monitor was perfect for me.

Most people will prefer higher refresh to resolution for competitive FPS.

Anyone else feel like 4k monitor deals are stagnant? I'd be all over a deal for a decent 32" 4k IPS. It seems like the options in the $600-700 dollar range are all from a few years ago and not dropping in price. I don't even play video games, just do work, so 60 Hz would be great for me. I just don't want to get a VA panel bc I read at 32" the gamma shift is too noticeable at desk range.
I have a 40" 4k Samsung TV. It looks beautiful and tons of desktop space. Problem is. It's not curved. And seeing the edges easily on a 40" starts to get a slightly difficult. The best compromise I see is a 34" 3440x1440 curved monitor. Plus you get the added bonus of 100hz. And you can find them for $400 or less. I initially went with the 4k hdr 40" Samsung because it cost $260.
