Most annoying of all is the people who can't live a second of their lives without their phones in hand. No matter what brand of phone gives you a hard-on just put the damned thing away and interact with the people around you for a while.
Ohhh you talk like a geezer.

Wake up and smell your plastic future...

I'm not exactly sure what I just ordered, but I think I'm pretty pleased about it if it's what it might be, but then again, I have no idea exactly what it is... but that's the nature of slickdeals.
Thanks OP! I think.

You know what's just as annoying as apple cultists?

Android spectards. Greatest (highly debatable at that, at least when it comes to SoC) hardware with fractured OS with proven shitty upgrade path is worse than mediocre hardware with 5+ years of OS upgrades.
I love how you so proudly discuss "OS upgrades" when you have no idea how the two eco systems upgrades work. First and foremost, Google Android applications are provided through the app store rather than being built into the OS. Because of this, Android phones get indefinite upgrades on most of the system applications as soon as the app is updated in the store. My email application, Camera application, phone application, photo application, ect are constantly getting updates completely independent of the OS. On iPhones, Apple application upgrades require a full OS upgrade to get. When those OS upgrades stop, everything stops being updated on your phone.

Speaking of full OS upgrades, the iPhone 6 got it's last major upgrade (iOS12) at the 4 year mark. It's not getting iOS13. 5+ years? Not quite. The closest thing to the iPhone line in Android is the Pixel line. My OG Pixel 1 just received Android 10 at 3 years old. If it gets Android 11 at 4 years old, it will be right in line with Apple at 4 years. Yes, non-Google phones may not get 3+ years of major OS upgrades but that's because they get their own upgrades through their own manufacturers. The great thing about Android is that you can choose to have a Samsung skinned Android phone with Samsung exclusive features or an LG one or a Oneplus one, or... Apple iPhone owners act like having options ("fractured OS") is a bad thing for no other reason than because they have none themselves. It's either buy the same thing year after year or don't upgrade. There is no option to go to a completely different style of phone with a skinned iOS. I know plenty of iPhone owners who want to get a different phone but feel like they can't because they've invested so much money in Apple apps and would have to buy them all over again with an Android phone. Wouldn't it be nice to have the option of buying a Samsung Galaxy phone with iOS even if it meant that you would be stuck on a year old version of iOS?

I don't know all the ins and outs and don't care to know, it's does not affect me enough to care. It annoys me when people say Android is better than apple because specs as if that's the only consideration and that was my point.

Also, iPhone 5s received the iOS 12 upgrade, it might not be 5+ years as I said but it was 5 years old at that point. That's good support for OS upgrade and still better than what Android offers even on their google phones. Not everyone upgrades phones yearly, some of us like hanging onto things as long as we can and it makes it easier to do when that product is supported for 5 years.

They get uglier and uglier. I still have the iphone 6 and I'm delighted with it. It's been more than 4 years and has never let me down.

We just have to adjust with the future. I still believe fans will buy iPhone and they will be happy with it. We just need to forget that its just a phone and it has to serve it, like an item.
