Will this fit in a Lenovo S340 AMD Ryzen 5 Model 81QG0002US? The spec for the Lenovo says it has an M.2 2242 SSD and this Intel is an M.2 2280 which is longer 42 mm vs 80mm. I am a newbie to M.2 drives.

Crucial P1 is listed as compatible on Crucial site - so this is nearly identical.

Looks to be a pretty standard price on SD. I might just bite because I "need" one in a few weeks.
<Edit> I bit because I have a Pine Book Pro coming soon and I want the NVME drive. I don't really need more storage than 512GB so I'm good.

The 1TB version of this lens was selling for $85 few times. I would rather spend extra $35 for double the storage.

Macs don't use standard M.2 NVMe drives. It might be possible to use this drive with an adapter.

Otherwise, you can use something specifically made for Macs, like this:

The Lenovo S340 uses a 2242 M.2 but with an adapter to make it 2280 long. In summary, this M.2 is compatible.

Seems this would work with Synology DS+ 918. Is this size overkill for cache?

I think these drives just need a permanent page at this point.

I have the 2TB, use it for a Steam Library, it's great! Would also recommend for anyone needing a large affordable drive for a laptop. Just remember you can't fill it up fully, or performance will dive.

I think filled up the read speeds stay reasonable, which is why I use it for Steam/Apps.
