These apps haven't been updated in years, so I assume they aren't going to look great on the newer iPhones/iPads as the screen resolution/sizing will be off, correct?
WotL looks fine but it doesn't fill the whole screen on my XR. It's something like playing a 4:3 video on a 16:9 display, with black bars along the sides.

FYI, most (if not all) of these require a network connection to play. Also, (just my opinion) the few of these I own are buggy and I would actually recommend just getting an emulator to play these instead of the official mobile versions. And I don't think I'm alone looking at some of the reviews of these games.
That's ridiculous. What's the network connection for? Thanks for the heads up. Would have been nice to play during flights when wifi is crappy.

correct me if i'm wrong but if you buy a game for the phone, can't you technically play it on the ipad, albeit black bars or border?

would making purchasing WOTL on iphone that much more sense than the ipad version...

Own pretty much all of SE games. Been buying them whenever they go on sale like this. Honestly only played through 1-4 on the phone though, lol. Tactics and the rest have been too cumbersome for me.

Having said that though with the introduction of ios13 and the ability to pair ps4/Xbox controller I may be able to play them if it's implemented correctly!

HAHA, we know Final Fantasy 7 is the best one. So we're not discounting it. - Square Enix, probably
6 (3 in America) was the last one on SNES. 7 was on Playstation (and about to be remade). I can't imagine the jump from a SNES port to a PS port on iOS.

Can't really compare an MMO to a single player game though.
