Couldn't find on HD website or on the Brick so YMMV. Local store had a lot of them.

Sounds like a good deal...any branding? Black with red stripe is usually Neverkink Pro, which would be a great deal at this price. Please take a picture of the label if you can.

The UPC lists it as Waterworks 5/8 In. X 100 Ft. Contractor Grade Garden Hose, which is not listed on HomeDepots site.

I wonder if it's a value engineered version of this one:
Your friend has shared a link to a Home Depot product they think you would be interested in seeing:

WaterWorks FlexRITE 5/8 in. Dia x 100 ft. Water Hose
https://www.homedepot.com/p/Water.../100124440

Doesn't seem to have great reviews, but for $5, it'd be hard to argue. I'll definitely look when I'm in home depot later this week.

Found a picture on an auction site...gives a bit more info and seems to reinforce my previous supposition about it being a value engineered version of the flex rite one.

Home Depot took the webpage down, but appeared to be a Home Depot Spring Black Friday deal.

This kind of hose is good as garbage. Buy a rubber hose instead. The naming is silly too.

Contractor hose? What??

there actually is a difference with commercial grade and home user grade hoses. My house has unregulated hose pressure and any non commercial grade hose ends up blowing up if you put anything at the end like a sprayer with a shut off. I've since got an inline pressure regulator which lets me use cheapo hoses.

Scored one today in NC. Was outside in garden section. Feels cheap but needed one anyway
