The 18th Anniversary of 9/11

20,843 September 10, 2019 at 09:26 PM
If you can, please take a moment today at 8:46am, the time when the first plane hit the World Trade Center, to say a prayer (or simply remember with positive thoughts) the victims and their families of the worst terrorist attack ever committed on US soil. I can't imagine the pain their survivors must endure, especially on days like today. They need all the positive thoughts we can possibly muster for them.

Radical Islamic terrorism is on the run and must be conquered. We must use these anniversaries to never forget the lives lost, or the enemy that is not completely defeated.

May God bless our brave men and women of the military that fight every day to keep us safe, our incredible first responders some of which have paid the ultimate sacrifice to save those in need on that fateful day (thank you USAMan), those in the military that made the ultimate sacrifice to protect us, and the thousands that died this day 18 years ago.

Well said. Great thread, and very appropriate. Thanks BK.

And may God bless the first responders many of whom gave their all on that day, and many who suffer the after effects today, and bless and comfort their families for their pain and losses.

Facepalm What a mea culpa. I've edited the OP to include first responders whom the country owes an enormous debt of gratitude to for their bravery and sacrifice on this day 18 years ago. Thank you so much USAMan for your reply so I could make that edit.

Not a mea culpa at all. Thanks for the thread, and there are so many in so many capacities who sacrificed so much to aid those impacted by the tragedy that we cannot name them all. Thanks for the edit.

We will never, never forget the terror that was inflicted on US Citizens on our own soil by the enemy.

my thoughts goes to the first responders and families of those who perished in the attack (many of them first responders themselves). i hope everyone would keep this non-partisan or at least stay quiet and not use this for their partisan purposes.

i kinda knew the invoking of "sincere" was itself err insincere.

It looks like NC Republicans have used the solemn occasion of 9/11 to conduct dirty political trickery. I hope those of you who've expressed a desire for unity and solidarity today will join me in condemning these politicians for using 9/11 memorial services and deception to undermine the legitimate political process.
