Microcenter has an MSI Optix MAG341CQ 34" 3440x1440@100Hz VA-panel going for $369 (349 after some rebate). Does anyone have experience with both of these monitors? which should we go for? The specs seem (on the surface) to be similar, freesync, 100hz, etc. could they be the same panel?

I am inclined to go for the local brick and mortar option if i am already paying taxes (due to return/warranty ease), so any insight would be great!

Newegg reviews have a lot of relatively recent quality control issues...

Probably would have preferred this to the Monoprice for $340 that I got the other week, but hey. At least I have a quality screen to game on now ^^ Nice find!

Any thoughts on this one vs the microcenter deal vs the LG 34 deal on ebay (https://m.ebay.com/itm/LG-34-HD-M...app=true)? The LG is 1080 but has 144 hz refresh. This one is 1440 but 100 hz refresh.

I think the resolution of LG being 2560x1080 vs ACER's 3440x1440 makes a big difference

I have the 144hz LG and love it, but personally I rather have the 1440p model.

Really depends on the games you play. If you're like me and isnt that competitive in shooters, the higher pixel density is better imo for games like Tomb Raider etc. Where as the extra 44hz will help in other games.

I have a RTX 2060. Currently I can run games on high/ultra 1440p at 60fps. If I get this ultra wide, will it still do the same or how much will it hurt me?

How is 4ms is "Ultra-Fast Response Time" when 5ms has been standard for over ten years and 1ms is the new norm? 4ms isn't particularly fast. It's just not extraordinarily sluggish

Bought it on BlackFriday for $320 (including cashback from credit card + cb site).

Great monitor but not too sharp. Overall 8.5/10. 😬

Microcenter is a horrible store. Inuad an awful experience with a very dishonest salesman and a colluding manage there.

I have a nvidia GeForce 980x Ti gysnc.

Is the free sync feature compatible or is it exclusive to amd?

Nvidia did not enable freesync compatibility in anything older then the GTX10xx series.

quality control of what? the products they don't manufacture? read reviews of people unhappy with their 2 dead pixels on their 3440 x 1440 (4,953,600 pixels btw) ultrawide monitor?
