Is this any better or worse than the other options?

Each of these little keyboards has slight differences.....mainly where the mouse buttons are, how you activate the keyboard lights, etc.

You have to enter the code ANWMKBDL at checkout for the discount,

There are better ones. I like the gyro mouse remote that has keyboard on the back and learning remote on the front. I have one of this mini keyboard remote but I prefer the gyro mouse much more. By the way, this pretty much the typical price on eBay.

I've played with these off-brand HTPC keyboards and they always seem to be spotty in performance or quality. I prefer to use a Logitech K400 as a cheap wireless HTPC keyboard. They can be had for less than $20 and, for me, seems to be a better option than the off-brand versions...

If you're not in a rush, these are like 6-8 bucks on ebay. "Backlight Wireless Keyboard" Some have built in rechargable batteries via Micro USB.

I have a similar one from a couple of years ago, that is rechargeable and not backlit. I wish it just took AA or AAA batteries because the charge just lasts for a day whether I use it or not.

Some the eBay ones even have a working keyboard, but it's hit or miss

I have a similar version of this keyboard, but from a different brand (Rii). The mousepad sensitivity is not really good, but overall, the keyboard is definitely a convenience. I noticed this keyboard doesn't have PgUp and PgDn buttons, which is a must especially if you're using Kodi on a raspberry pi

Agreed. Also tried these crappy mini keyboards and have not had a satisfying experience. K400 is big but it's comfortable to use and reliable.
