I have had one of these but in stainless for a couple years now. Hate how hard it is to clean the grates(nothing falls through so everything builds up)

I paid $50, so this doesn't seem like much of a deal. Aren't they usually like $199?

Agreed, cleaning is a pain on mine too. However, with less crap falling through I am hopeful the bottom underneath the burners won't rot out as fast.

Keep a small 1 gal shop vac (solely for this purpose)near by. when you are done using the grill don't scrape it. When you go to use your grill next scrape it, and vacuum it before you light it and problem solved-ish

I own this grill. Not only is it hard to clean, the thing will trap the gas under the grates. Once in a while when you open it, you will hear a boom and look around to see if you are still on Earth. I am replacing mine (2 years old) next spring.

I got a SD on the stainless one too from Walmart about 3-4 years ago for under $100.

Yes, I've been scraping it, then shaking the crud out into the grass. Every couple of months I run them in the sink w/ dish soap and scrub them.

Put this money towards a Weber. This brand is awful. Mine only lasted two years. Warranty process is ridiculous too.

I have this grill along with the 3 burner one. Not sure what everyone is talking about, far as cleaning. There's nothing to clean -there are hardly no flareups due to NO open flame.

I generally throw in a few wood chips and that help flavor my steaks etc.

Don't even try converting it to natural gas. I did on the 3 burner & it took forever for the steaks / chicken to cook. Mainly due to Nat Gas burns at a lower temperature vs propane and then top that with the infrared function, it took way longer for the heat to do its job.

Just tossed one in the garbage. It lasted 5 years though (had to replace burners three times).

Temperature gages never worked and it does not get hot even for burgers. Also very uneven - back of the grill gets hot, front is not. Infrared thing is pretty much useless. In my case, everything under the pan rusted out and fell off. It looks great outside, and complete crap inside.

Dad had this grill. Barely lasted 2 years, and he was pretty good about keeping it in a garage when not in use.

Cheap junk imo

I have one too and can vouch the grates are a pain in the ass.
