Is the screen IPS quality?
Does not seem to be based on the description.

For HP:

SVA is short for Standard Viewing Angle and represents the TN technology,

while UWVA (Ultra-Wide Viewing Angle) is synonymous for an IPS screen.

If you bought it for the price of $1300... I say yikes! Plus that seller seems a bit shady...why did it say 3 pack on the pick when they are selling 1 laptop...

That laptop is a bit better in terms of storage (512 Gb SSD), ram 16gb, and seem to work with thunderbolt (based on that 1 answered question), but for that price? I'd rather this deal https://slickdeals.net/f/13376332-lenovo-thinkpad-e495-14-fhd-ips-ryzen-7-3700u-8gb-ddr4-256gb-pcie-ssd-win10-pro-564-99-2-99-shipping?v=1&src=tdw.

This I would personally get over this deal and your laptop.

One thing I didn't released before is the performance of the CPU can be affected by their maker due to smaller casing of laptop. Some brands have to throttle due to lack of cooling options. HP spectra, for example, doesn't cool their intel or AMD cpu so throttling occur with those models. Some of the 8th gen benchmark shows Dell XPS providing better cooling so no throttling is needed for both intel and AMD. For everyday users, who surge/Facebook/emails, may not have to worry. Some you semi-power users will need to take into consideration. For Pros, this is old news.

i7 processor alone costs $300. Ram and storage upgradable.
Lol.. they give manufacturers huge rebates to sell i7 model laptops. Saying it has value properties for this laptop over an i5 model is practically moot since the performance is so comparable to the i5

The processor is great! It is amazing To see a laptop with this much horsepower at this price. It's nice to tough to decide between the Lenovo E495 and this. This laptop has a bad screen, and no fingerprint reader.
