For HP:

SVA is short for Standard Viewing Angle and represents the TN technology,

while UWVA (Ultra-Wide Viewing Angle) is synonymous for an IPS screen.

SVA stands for Super Vertical Alignment; this is one of the original 'high quality' screen technologies (PVA was the other) which actually preceded IPS.

VA-based panels emphasize image quality over refresh rate and response time. IPS is a middle ground between VA and TN.

Not sure where you came up with the "Standard viewing angle" thing - VA is one of the oldest LCD technologies.

No one here came up with SVA = standard viewing angle = TN, HP did. Yes it's confusing but it's 100% certain that you're not getting a vertical alignment display on this laptop, just a cheap TN panel. I'm not aware of any notebook using vertical alignment displays, we only see those on desktop monitors. In laptops it's IPS or TN (or OLED).

That is overall a better deal that this model. The Processor performance pretty close to this processor, but the overall build quality, IPS display, Gigabit Intel 9560 WiFi, 256GB SSD...are way better than this HP.
Yes the Micro Center Acer is a better deal, but it's a TN display (Amazon sells other variants of the Aspire 5 with IPS display).

Lot of drawbacks. Subpar mobile processor, SATA ssd, 1x1 bgn wifi.
Subpar mobile processor???
I guess you like laptops with Xeon or Epyc processors.

Would this be a good compter for everyday use? I know nothing about computer and my last two were super slow and barley useable.
Not the best option bud, if your budget is a little higher, you should consider a better one. It wont be slow if its storage type is SSD, 128 is a bit less. Should start with 256gb at least

Can I upgrade the RAM? replace one 8 GB module with 16 GB to have 24GB?

Yes it does. You just have to unscrew the cover on the bottom of the laptop.
Mine does not. Confirmed by HP. It would have to be sent in for a replacement.

For those who has ordered laptop from HP, how long does it takes from assembly to delivered?

Mine said delivery date of Oct 8!!

That's almost 4 weeks.

Does it really takes that long?? Or is it an estimate?
