Instead of all the snarky remarks and what not here is some reading and finding I googled which should help others:

The below map shows you in relation to the Bahamas where TCI is:

https://www.google.com/maps/dir/b...d21.694025

Its basically in line with with Antigua, British VI, Puerto Rico, TCI, Bahamas (Coming up North and a slight West).

Reading online it seems that TCI normally doesn't get hit with Hurricanes directly but the flooding and erosion do affect the island.

Here is additional information that discusses how the hurricanes have hit and affected the island but it doesn't seem like its in the direct path of each one:

BTW, EWR shows $335 direct flights.

That's akin to asking if there's anything left of Washington, DC after Katrina had hit New Orleans. 😅

I was just there this June and I was in the thick of things.. the thick of the most relaxing vacation I've ever had! The beaches were gorgeous and the turquoise water was wonderful to swim in, and not to mention the amazing corral reefs teeming with colorful sea life.

Save the drama. I work in Chicago. TCI is like Disneyland in comparison.

Escape from the winter to be in the middle of bullets and gangs in Provo!
Say what? We're traveling there in December and I haven't heard anything bad yet. Please elaborate, thanks!

Any recommendations on hotels? Looks like most of them are more than my monthly salary per night.

IMO Tripadvisor is a better resource for that. You're always going to get 'ITS DANGEROUS' and 'ITS TOO EXPENSIVE' from basically every crowd, but an aggregated review would better suit you if you're never been to T&C.

With that said, I too have heard only good things.
