You can report any unscrupulous Walmart employee to Walmart corporate, and Walmart corporate will investigate. Give Walmart corporate the employee's full name and the store's address using the following link:

https://corporate.walmart.com/sto...e-feedback

I was able to get a clearance laptop this way last time. See below. Let the Walmart corporate and their asset protection team take care of it. Don't waste time arguing with any unscrupulous Walmart employee at the store because they will never get the item for you if they want item for themselves. The item is locked in a cage and not something you can walk in, grab it yourself, and pay for it. Good luck Stick Out Tongue

HP Warranty Update
This goes for anyone who bought one of the HP's - if the Warranty is showing expired on their site and in their support app there is a link to dispute the warranty status. Submit the form and attach a picture of your receipt and they will correct the warranty status to start from the day you purchased it.

I did this for mine, just took a picture of the receipt which showed the model and serial number and I had an email confirmation within a couple hours and now have a full warranty.

Link to instructions from their site - https://support.hp.com/us-en/document/c05084516

I just picked up a almost perfect display model HP 17. Is the screen 120hz or 144hz?

Also, got 25% off the $799 Smilie
It's 120hz

Walmart Clearance Stock Translator:

Limited stock = Probably not really there.

2 in stock = Probably not really there.

More than 2 in stock = Probably not really there.
Lol thanks

One assistant manager that actually HELPED the electronics employee set up the layaway told me on her end both laptops were going to xxx in 4 weeks. MAJOR frustration but worth it if you find them with nice employees! I was reluctant to even check this store because of the snobbish area LOL

I get scared stupid when I see '2 in stock' ... because sometimes I end up walking into a Walmart as a result. - Confession of a Slickdealer.
Just did that. None there (the employee also had no clue how to look it up and resulted to looking at each individual box.. 🤦 ♂️) oh well. Couldn't done something worse during my break..

How are you cheating the store exactly?
Not sure if this was answered. I've worked retail as a manager before and it hits that store's P&L. It's like taking that revenue (difference) away from what they've actually sold for the day/week/month. Especially that department's.

One of the Walmarts in south Reno have the HP Pavilion and HP Omen 15" on display if anyone is interested. They all had clearance prices but I did not check if they had new boxed systems.

Good luck!

Oh, thank God… Had to drive two hours, but finally got the omen 17 inch. Between calling multiple stores, checking stock, and asking if I can buy the display models, this was the most difficult deal to get by far! But man, this is the best deal by far I've ever gotten too Perfect for my needs. Still don't really know why Walmart don't sell the display models beside some odd responses, but I'm happy with the $800 price tag of a brand new one so oh well.

Thanks OP!

I got a 399 hp yesterdaywas trying to buy the 599 display but they wouldn't sell it to me . Think I should go back and try a different manager? Also is it worth it to layaway one of the desktops and wait for another price drop ? I only play world of Warcraft so I'm thinking the 399 laptop should be fine with another 8gb of RAM and a SSD I already own if that's all I end up with ...Thanks for the info Slickdeals.

Went to local Walmart as it said they had 2 of the Cyberpower Towers.
My plan was to layaway the item she said you cant layaway a clearance item. The girl went in back, said all they have is the display and no one was capable of unlocking it right now and someone else wanted it too. Who knows, maybe her. I didn't feel like battling
with someone who probably makes 16,000 a year and maybe wants this for her kid or something. I would have wanted it for 349.00--not 599.00
She straight up lied to you. Its in Wal-Mart's physical handbook and website. I have been successful in 3 WM's. No pressure, the register will confirm the clearance for all of the machines listed on this post. Good luck...

So yours was not sealed box? When you picked it up, it was opened? Mine was sealed. Display units are not sealed box units.
There were several pieces of carefully placed red tape that made it looked as if it were new and the box was in excellent condition. There was no reason to suspect that it was a used display model when I picked it up. I just grabbed it from the pickup locker and left. When I got home, there several different stickers on it and noticed a white one that someone had written on it that it was a display model. I then looked at the original seal and it was broken. I opened it up and there were smudges all over it. I was pretty obvious it it wasn't new.

I went over the weekend to my local and all were out of stock even though brickseek said otherwise. Another local store had the msi gp63 only it was $999. They wouldn't price match so I left. I checked back today on brickseek around 3pm and it switched to $799. I was able to buy it. I guess there is luck to be found in watching your local stores which aren't quite at these prices yet. When they switch, make the trip.

Congrats on getting one. You might wanna keep an eye out for a further price reduction.
