https://www.samsclub.com/s/Samsun...Smartwatch Was in Sam's Club today and had the S3 Frontier for $179. Looks like it may be online as well. I know a new model is probably just around the corner and Costco ran this by mistake around $130 last year but I really like the look of this watch and have been waiting for a new one to drop under $200 for a while. Ca tax was $192 out the door.

The recent update to the OS had taken me from "maybe 2 days" of battery life to "3 days without a problem". Nice to see Samsung has not given up yet.
It is a strong and durable watch and as I already stated, the battery life was recently improved. I just wish there were useful apps for their OS.

I have had this watch for about a year. Really like the mst feature which allows you to use Samsung pay everywhere you can swipe a credit card. Mst is not implemented on the newer Samsung watches.

Great watch, but it is morethan 2 years old. So the price should be 100 to 150

That is how much I paid for mine more than a year ago. Thanks for the Discover Deals at that time.

It's not that simple.

Seems like they're making progress but it doesn't look like there's a confirmed way to do it. Thanks, I'll pass. Repped.

I don't know why they would even remove that. I love that feature.

Is the stock OS that bad? Or is it not compatible with apps or something? It's Samsung's version of Wear OS, isn't it?

Yes, it's garbage. Limited app compatibility and Samsung crapware all over the place. For mmay of us, Tizen OS is the only reason we don't buy Samsung smartwatches.

But if you flash another software, don't you lose Samsung Pay/Google Pay like you do on rooted phones?

I'm not very familiar with rooting smartwatches, but if you root a phone with magisk, you can use magiskhide (among other techniques) to hide SU privileges from certain apps. My current phone is rooted and I can use Chase Pay, Google Pay, and other banking/finance apps that prohibit rooting.
