Editor's Notes & Price Research

The Apex 100 features quick tension switches that are designed to mimic a mechanical switch: when the key is pressed down half way, the Tension Membrane's design pulls the key into actuation, resulting in faster registration that greatly improves responsiveness.

Bought this keyboard a month ago for 30 not worth it at all. Even at 20 bucks it's still a shit keyboard

$20 mechanical keyboards are better than the other $20 non mech keyboards I've used. Not sure why it's a no no for you.

Disagree. Bought an Aukey keyboard with blue switches for like $18.00 and the typing on it is top-notch.

I don't ever see a reason to buy membrane based keyboards anymore. However, I've never used this special style of membrane on the steel series.

The Apex 100 features quick tension membrane switches, vibrant blue backlighting and 24 key anti-ghosting.

E.g. laptop-like, but with bigger mech-like keys. (You wouldn't wanna use a $20 Mechanical...)

Agree, I got an aukey blues just for giggles and really no complaints. My favorite keys are still gromers

To those who said a $20 mechanical keyboard is better, I had an Aukey blue switch keyboard when it was on sale through Amazon, and it was never on par with a MX blue switch keyboard, and after less than two weeks of use some of the keys becomes inconsistent in terms of key actuation and registration. Had to return it and if I knew this in advance I would prefer a cheap but reliable Membrane keyboard.

I got a $25 Velocifire with Outemu brown switches and honestly prefer them over the Cherry MX browns.

This deal is warm at best, considering you can get actual mechanical keyboards for around the same price.
