I ended up selling my wonderful Razer Blackwidow Ultimate Chroma V2 to get this instead. Mechanical keyboard was too noisy in the evenings for my young daughter and I had to downgrade. This is still a nice keyboard and a much quieter option over a mechanical keyboard. The lighting between the two was exactly the same. Hopefully I can go back to a mechanical keyboard when my daughter gets a bit older.

You also may know nothing about it if you are a real gamer, a real gamer is mechanical only.

Oh, and most gamers don't mess with Razer. I've gambled on it for a good deal only to be disappointed.

K70 silvers here. I'm not awesome enough for the better brands
not sure where you pulled the "most gamers" statement.
Razer 5+ years ago is nothing like Razer now. They used to compete with the likes of Roccat for the flashiest peripherals and Roccat of course won that battle but Razer took a different path. They started listening to feedback... people asked for elegant mech keyboards like the Duckys , well Razer paired with Ducky on at least 1 keyboard. The trend in light mice started and Razer released a solid contender. People asked for RGB sync between diufferent brands and types , well Razer chroma connect happened. They make some of the best laptops and of course they have their moments with frigging overpriced energy drinks but oh well

Now I used to be a Corsair fanboy my first PC I built in a corsair case. But take your K70 (I also have a k70 low profile ) and tell me how much of an improvement is out there from the K70 today vs 5 years ago. No usb c, no detachable cable, no white underplate, no double shot pbt on the black models , no standard key caps etc etc. and that's just one product. Some overpriced enclosures and some good but old PSUs... that's Corsair in a nutshell.
So I dunno about this product and I;m not bashing on Corsair but I respect what Razer is doing and while their shit is OP eventually expensive things go down in price. and I like companies reacting to market trends and listening to feedback and only a few of them do that for PCMR.

I do appreciate that Razer takes a lot of risks and goes out of their way to make interesting products, but their quality control has burned me multiple times.

I had the same problem with my daughter. I ended up getting Corsair cherry red silent switches. The click isn't as satisfying but it's a good trade off

If you're susceptible to seeing flicker, you don't want this. The LED PWM is slower than it should be, and you'll see it flicker constantly no matter the color or brightness. For whatever reason, they're still PWMing at full brightness. I ended up returning mine.

I have this keyboard and like it a lot. I know razer seems to be quite polarizing but this works for me. I got it for about this price when Best Buy was running a special a while back with Razer and nanoleaf for combo deals. It's mostly for work with light gaming and the RGB adds to my office. I didn't want the cherry green louder keys since our office is next to the bedroom and it would be noisy (as others have mentioned). I loved the orange switches, but didn't love them $75-$100 more and couldn't justify spending more money.

I have this keyboard and its not as quiet as some laptop keyboards but its much quieter then mechanical keyboards. I really like the lights and also the macro software is good. However, I find that the WASD keys seem to "stick". Because they get pressed a lot, they wear out and sometimes stick down and wont come back up. I warrantied my first one, and im on my second and i can feel the keys starting to do that again which is annoying.

Still, the price is pretty good and if you can use the ebay coupon (10% - TEN4FALL) if you're eligible for it then its an even better price.
