I have had terrible Lorex experiences.
Bought a baby camera from them and they don't update the app. It won't work on any remotely recent version of iOS and functions poorly on Android.
Huge YMMV on this company

FYI - some SDers picked up this or a similar kit in the last 1-2 BF-cyberweek deals. Initial reports were ok, have not seen much seen then on these. In general go for a wired setup if you can.

Hi sarcasmogratis,

I have not found any really outstanding company which is able to produce
1) affordable security camera product
2) reliable
3) quality
4) meets the 3 basic minimal viable product requirements for a security camera
5) has a great UI
6) keeps updating the software both camera and mobile
7) great customer service

Really there's a bunch of compromises across the board and customers have to really pick what works for them.

I am certain this also applies to a baby camera.

Also note lorex has a rather wide variety of products from various OEMs ( many from Dahua in the IP PoE category )

some of their products I like - others I would not recommend.

Unfortunately, I share all your sentiments. They recently made near new WiFi cameras obsolete by losing their contract with the app developer they were using. Their fix is to provide me with a replacement lesser camera, lesser value and completely different platform solution. Worthless to me...

Thanks redeyedog,

also remember to post reviews in other locations others can find easily - this is important for us customers to share our experiences.

We need to keep the pressure on companies to do a better job.

anyone have advice on connecting a new NVR system to the new Lorex cloud app? All of my router settings appear correct. It just says can not connect.
