I wish companies would stop selling this garbage...just going to make people sick and they won't even know why.
You're only half informed. Yes, cooking with aluminum DOES contribute to Alzheimers disease, however when the surface is properly sealed there is a "no risk" factor. The fact that these particular pans tend to scratch easily, wouldn't make me comfortable purchasing them - for health reasons.

The reason aluminum is used in cooking pans is due more to performance than anything else. Other than cast iron, aluminum is the only metal that distributes heat evenly. Cast iron can be extremely heavy. If you are looking for non-stick performance with an even heat distribution the best alternative is an aluminum pan with a granite (natural stone) coating. Anything with Teflon will emit toxic fumes, so that should also be avoided.

Personally, I really like Ballarini.

Bought this set last year - here's my unbiased review:
PROS:
1) inexpensive
2) Nonstick aluminum coating is AWESOME. Easily cleans up better than any pot/pan set I've had.
CONS:
1) Nonstick coating scratches way too easy. If you stack your pots and pans on top of each other (like I do in my cabinet to save space), then expect scratches on the coating SOON & OFTEN. As great as the nonstick coating works for food cleanup, it's cheaply made for longevity.
2) skillet pans have a tiny cooking surface due to curvature of the pan.

NET-NET: As much as I hate cleaning dishes and love the easy cleanup on these pots/pans, they're cheaply made and won't last long. So if you want an inexpensive set to last 2-3 years, this is prefect for you. Want a cookware set to last longer, spend the extra money and buy something else.
I had the same problem with this set as well when stacking. To prevent further scratching I flip the lids upside down and then stack the next size smaller pot on the inverted lid. For the pans I had to buy a little shelf thing that has slots at diffeeent levels to stack them without them touching each other.

These are great for our college kids. They destroy pans, with roommates and carelessness. Lasting one or two years at this price is perfect!

21 bucks? LOL You couldn't give me any Farberware product for FREE at this point.

I don't have this exact set, but I bought a set of Farberware non-stick cookware at Wally World and another Farberware pan a while before that. After very little use, the non-stick coating was flaking or rubbing off (apparently very thin), very noticeable within weeks. I have other non-stick cookware that is many years older with minimal loss of the non-stick coating including Mirro and TFAL pans purchased 10+ ago. So, no thanks on any Farberware.

I bought a Farberware can opener once, that felt and appeared that it might be good quality, but after relatively little use, the handle started spinning on the shaft, and it would not turn the cutting blade anymore. I bought another brand (it says Swing-a-Way on the handle) afterwards that is still working after a lot of use over several years.

So after trying Farberware products on 3 occasions, all bad experiences, I wouldn't bring any more of it into my house if you gave it to me.

For those who worry about aluminum so much, stop drinking soft drinks. Diabetes will kill you faster than the aluminum cans it served in.
Soft drinks doesn't get served in aluminum actually. They have another layer inside the aluminum can.
