Why do they make it so difficult just to buy something from them. Even when I want to buy something from them they don't make this easy

Yup, I would buy this if I didn't have to drive an hour to closest sears (that's still around).

If I could ship to store, I'd buy. Alas, I cannot.

I have been living in the same area for about 5 years and thanks to this post i now realized i have a Sears about 10mi away.

is this really worth it for someone that does not have that much tools around?

It's not a professional set by any means but for general things around the house it'd be fine. If you don't have tools it'd be more expensive to make a trip to Home Depot to buy a hammer + crescent wrench than to buy this entire set. Better to have this around for the small things that pop up.

After seeing so many Sears deals, I thought this one is the one that I can see myself making more use of. But of course I decide to get it and I have to drive 90mi to pick it up or pay up the $8 shipping which takes away from the "deal" sensation.

I still have one near me but it's not letting me select store pick up. It's only letting me have it shipped...

Applause Agreed. The 'closest' one to me is 76 miles ONE WAY. Even all of the Kmarts around me save for TWO (both in the same farking area) have closed. So anytime I see a Sears or Kmart deal or they give me some 'free' points I just chuckle and forget I even have them since the 'nearest' Kmart is like 20 miles ONE WAY now.

Still can't believe the SEC or whoever is supposed to prevent fraud let that prick Eddie Lampert buy back the company out of bankruptcy just so he could finish his purging of it.
