Such deceptive advertising. The beacon is NOT TRI BAND. Therefore, this system is only dual band.

Easily said than done. Some homes have the cable/telephone jack in the outskirts of the house. Using it as the base station to propagate the signal. This is the case with my house. I would have to reroute the current wiring, drill holes in the walls, climb up the attics, etc. Additional hassles and trouble points that can be avoided with a simple system like this.

You must live in an apartment or a really small house.

thanks for this, really. i've been looking into eero for a while and after reading your comment and doing more research, i'm glad to remove it from my watchlist. several amazon acquisitions that i've experienced with went straight downhill after amazon acquired them. i'm a blink user as well as an ecobee user, and i cannot recommend people against them enough at this point.

Good price. I got mine for $199 during Amazon Prime Day, have been happy with it so far as ease of use, coverage, and simply stays online and works. Based on reviews it's not the fastest cookie out there, but I don't stream 4K so not a biggie for me. Fast enough for multiple Netflix streams.

Lacks built in USB server like some routers, but I haven't found any mesh networks that come with it built-in and activated. Does have a dedicated backhaul between the hub and access points. Only one LAN port on the main hub, none on access points. Fanless so gets somewhat hot.

I have this and love it.

Got mine for $80 when folks were doing the Best Buy price match loophole last year or so.

The eero + 2 beacons go on sale for $199, which is an arguably better sale because there's no way you can get a second beacon for $20

Why is that. There are always 4 on routers; why only 1, or none, on things like this?
