These are excellent binoculars, comparable to models costing several times this price. I have the 8x36 and 10x42 version of these, as well as the tiny 10x25. The 10x25 build quality is sort of chintzy but the larger 8x36 and 10x42 are solid all around. They have excellent low light performance. Some people/companies claim there is no such thing as low dispersion (ED) glass but I'm a believer. I don't have Vortex binoculars to compare, but I have four of their monoculars including the $120 Solo R/T and $300 Recce, and the Bushnell binoculars (the two bigger ones) have noticeably better glass in terms of low light, sharpness and clarity. I also have a pair of Trijicon 8x42 binoculars that retail for $600 and they have better build quality but are no better than the Bushnells in terms of glass.

Because I like them. It has nothing to do with need. It's not unlike some people that have multiple watches, purses, bicycles or cars.

Been eyeing binoculars a while now. Saw a similar deal for Vortex brand a few weeks ago, but didn't bite. Any comments on this deal or just binoculars in general?

I also have these and they are great. They have extremely clean glass and a really good deal at this price. I have lots of different brands of equipment and these are as clear and bright as any higher end brands I own.

Why do you need so many binoculars? I'm almost thinking this is a fake review. Just curious

Damn I want to pull the trigger but build quality looks sketch based on Amazon reviews.
