There are a lot of people buying wireless Bluetooth earbuds. If you want better music sound experience, I think the concept of Wireless Bluetooth Over-Ear Headphones is actually quite good. However, I have seen the poor sales on those Bluetooth Over-Ear Headphones, is there any reason for that?

Maybe because most of the point of over the ear headphones is generally audio quality, and bluetooth itself puts a limit on that.

These are (IMO) the best sounding BT headphones anywhere near the price. They lack all the features of the Sony and Bose $200-300 phones, but for pure sound quality I found these to clearly be the best.

The pads are kind of tight, so I purchased these Sure replacement pads

Shure HPAEC840 Replacement Ear Cushions For SRH840 Headphones https://www.amazon.com/dp/B002Z9JWZS/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_i_YPnFDb1NCWASK

You definitely lose some low-end compared to the thicker, tighter stock pads, but they are SO much more comfortable I found it totally worth it. I can wear them for hours on end with no sweating or fatigue, which I've never been able to say about any headphones I've owned. Replacing the pads took literally two minutes.

I paid just about this price six months ago.

I pulled the trigger on these. Ultimately, they're going to be a great sound for the price. You can't beat a bluetooth set of cans at this price. These sound great and are listed as "new," so I think it's a win-win. Woot is also a trusted seller and the item is actually fulfilled by Amazon.

You do understand the source of your audio is also digital (mp3, flac, etc). Bluetooth takes a digital file and transmits it using digital signal, how is that so different from using physical connection?
The reason is a low bandwidth of Bluetooth technology itself, FLAC is a lossless codec and considering its high bit rate, it cannot be transmitted over Bluetooth in real-time. That's why it is based on lossy codecs, even the latest AptX HD doesn't have enough bandwidth to stream lossless audio files.
And yes, even today in the 21st century, you cannot get CD quality music from an old days in the same quality over Bluetooth.

To people that can't tell the difference Bluetooth is the greatest thing since sliced bread. But if you can hear the difference, you would never use it for critical listening. To a smaller extent, same applies to mp3 vd. Wav. Again, if you have to ask, then you probably can't tell the difference.

Compression does not mean worse. AptX HD is 24bit/48khz 4:1 compression(just like classic aptX 16bit/44.1khz) and 576kbps (352kbps aptX). You do not need to transfer data without compression to hear good quality audio especially when most people can't hear above ~17khz very well.
A 320kbps mp3 is almost impossible to discern from lossless in blind tests.

because bluetooth is for convenience, large over the ear phone is not for convenience.

a Bluetooth receiver is like 12 dollars and is the size of a quarter, like an ipod shuffle, if you already have a headset you want to use.

These are fantastic!
I asked for these as a birthday present and I'm very happy with them.
Pros:
- Wonderful, neutral sound quality
- Bluetooth works well and controls on the headphones are alright
- Sound quality is great. I'm not an 'audiophile,' but I do spend quite a bit so I can have the good stuff (like a Klipsch home system)

Cons:
- The headband is a bit weak, so it's comfortable but not that secure. (I'm nitpicking here)

I've never really been restricted by the sound quality of Bluetooth, though. So if you push up your glasses and are ready to write a page-long post about how Bluetooth uses X amount of hertz and some .724 jack that uses 1.21 gigawatts-hertz or whatever, you probably will be unhappy with everything you get...
